This guide lists all the attributes (aspects) of a cleaning product to either avoid or look for, helping you to reduce or eliminate the impacts on health, planet and water.

This list is called the SASI Clean criteria. It is grouped according to how we find out information about the attributes of a cleaning product.

Some of the criteria questions require us to know which chemical ingredients cause the impact: e.g. “Does this product contain cancer causing substances or does it contain endocrine disrupters?” For this reason, we have collated a comprehensive list of Chemicals of Concern, along with their CAS numbers and their health effects, and included it with the SASI Clean Product Guide.

A SASI Clean Rated Products section will be added to the Guide later in 2008.
